An interesting system for sight-reading.  The basis of education is the ability of a teacher to break down complex tasks.  This video certainly reviews some components of sight reading and provides a linear system that, if needed, could be adopted by a director of by individual students.  For review, there is a section under Best Practices on MSBandDirector.com that deals with sightreading and having such a system.  Once students reach the level desired, there are other systems designed for Music Performance Assessments that also work well.
