Here is a quick guide to adding hyperlinks to your member pages, particularly useful for linking to your school's website. This technique can also be used to link to
MSBandDirector.com from your school website or favorite forums.
There are two ways within this platform to add links (hyperlinks) and they work on your member pages in the editable boxes, in discussions and in blogs.
Option 1 - Adding a hyperlink
The first way involves highlighting the words you would like to be a link and clicking the "Add Hyperlink icon" in any of the text boxes you see. It looks like a small piece of chain links.
Once you click on that button, you will likely see a warning appear at the top stating that the website is using a scripted window to ask for information. It is ok to proceed as the information it will ask for is the URL or web address of the link.
You will want to click the warning message and select the temporarily allow scripted window option.
Once you have allowed the scripted window, (and you may need to click the link button once more in some browsers) you should now see a window asking you to enter a website address.
Simply enter the full address of your school's website into the scripted window and click OK and the link will appear in the text box you are editing.
Option 2 - Adding a hyperlink
The second method is adding the HTML of a hyperlink directly, avoiding using a scripted window altogether. In this instance, you would add a short html string that looks like the following image.
In this example, you would want to replace the "http://guardianhost.com" with your actual website address. You would also want to replace the words GuardianHost Networks, L.L.C. with the name of your school. It is important to keep the other elements of the link just the way they are.

This example would yield a clickable link that looks like this (
GuardianHost Networks, L.L.C. and causes the browser to navigate to http://GuardianHost.com
I hope this helps and if anyone has any questions, please feel free to comment.
Best Regards,
