Hello,I'm not sure if there has been a post or discussion about developing flute tone, I tried searching but nothing came up. I recently accepted a position at a high school as the assistant bd and I'm teaching concert band. I have four flute players in my band and I'm working to develop the tone. Right now they're producing a very "airy" tone and of course I would prefer it to be a pure tone. So as a band we're working on long tones and sustained unison pitches.
