Steve,
Don't forget, now that you are a facebook person, you can add a badge from the bottom of this page to your facebook page. This allows you to keep professional networking separate from the personal networking. You can also add a "tab" at the top of your facebook page for msbanddirector.com so that you can jump back and forth quickly.
I checked out Rodney's big band site. Very cool, and neat to see you and Medd (and anybody else I should recognize?) playing. I play a lot too, but the jazz scene in C. Springs is dominated by the Air Force Academy guys, who are killer players. So, I'm in the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs and play regularly at about 5 different churches. In fact, am doing the Telemann concerto for 3 trpt. and 2 oboes in a couple of weeks.
My son Ryan is a drummer in college. Man, how time flies eh? Good to hear from you. If you have time, catch me up on some of the cats I would remember. Ever heard from Ed the Head?
Yeah, life is a busy thing! Believe it or not, I can retire in 9 1/2 years if I want. That's a trip. My son, Ryan is at college as a freshman. I have two bands playing at our state convention this year. My 8th grade symphonic band and my HS Wind Ensemble (which is our 2nd band) are both featured groups in January. Going to be a blast. I think my bio says the rest. Oh yeah, I've got a girlfriend. Her name is Kari, and she's awesome. We're going to Vegas for Thanksgiving. Say hi to Rodney for me. I saw him last time I was at Midwest.
Steve!
