Bass Clarinet Questions

Hey!  As a trombone guy, I have a few questions that I am hoping some with more experience in buttons can answer... 1.  It seems that all of my Bass Clarinet players have always had trouble with the upper register (2nd register).  None of the Bass Clarinets seem to respond, no matter the brand.  What can I tell them to help them out, or is this just at truth of bass clarinets...they are hard to get to respond in the upper register.  My Bb Clarinets are fine...just the basses cant seem to do…See More

Cheap Beginning Band music

Just added a new piece I wrote for my 8th grade band for Christmas. So, I decided that, rather than spend a large amount of money in order to stock my large beginning band with a piece of music (125 kids each of the past two years), I would write my own music. Hey all,I am doing a Masters Degree project on music literature. What I am looking for are some band directors to listen to 90 pieces of music and give it a quality rating from 1-10.
