After earning my Master's in Performance from Illinois State University, I performed with the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band in Omaha, NE from 1996-2000. I returned to Illinois to pursue my teaching career and continue military service with the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest in Peoria, IL.

My students learn valuable lessons from me; dedication, devotion, passion and responsibility, as well as musicianship and technique. I hope my exuberance for music, life, and teaching transfers to my students, and they leave my classroom better people than when they entered.
