I'll be at Midwest, and when I'm not wandering around in a happy daze, I'll be at the American Composers Forum booth #1000 (in the corner by one of the entrances; where the publishers are). Stop by and say hi!

Please post if you are going to Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. It would be nice to pick and afternoon or evening for members of MSBand Director to get together.

It was great meeting you as well. I've spent some time on your website and am absolutely blown away by your music. It's nice to hear such a fresh sounding voice. I haven't listened to the actual CD you gave me yet, but have enjoyed the contrabass flute work and your writing for trumpet (I'm a trumpet player as well, but don't play professionally anymore due to my composing and conducting). Also, "Bioplasm" is fantastic. It's nice to hear you write something that sounds like it really belongs in that idiom, as opposed to an orchestration of something that sounds like it was written for something completely different. I'm sure you understand! Excellent writing!

Hi Russ,

My scores can be purchased directly through my website at http://www.activistmusic.com or through a number of distributors, including J.W. Pepper. Thanks for asking!

Alex,
If members wish to purchase your compositions, do they click on the link above or do they visit another site?

Hi,   I have a very large band, 95 students.  I have programmed Holsinger's On A Hymnsong for the spring concert.  As we are rehearsing, it just seems loud.  I don't want the students to play so softly they lose their support.  So many students are…
