The Louisville Slugger

This is an instrument of my own design. It uses electric bass strings, so is of managable size, but has a wider, arched fingerboard and bridge thus allowing it to be bowed. great for jazz, fits in a standard guitar case but thunders like an upright. Young jazz bands may find this great, especially for getting the string bass players into jazz without killing their hands or needing finicky pickups for the big uprights. This one was constructed from a lovely vermont maple end table, a 35 year old "louisville slugger" baseball bat, and miscellaneous parts from damaged upright basses. Commissions (or parts) are being accepted.

Will this be made available for Middle School Bassists in the near future? If so, what will be the price range?
