Hi, everyone...

Rather than re-do the STORMSite here, please visit http://www.stormworld.com. I have a link to the STORMWidget right there. Here it is again: http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/music/stormwidget.html.

On the STORMSIte over 6000 pages of Score are represented with links to 16 CDs on iTUNES and CDBaby. These recordings are the only ones produced by a Composer in our idiom, and recordings from these CDs have received 5 Grammy nominations. If you saw the Digimuiscard Ad for example, we were in Billboard Magazine right with Beyonce.

MANY of these pieces, probably more than you would think, are written for younger kids. All of STORMQUEST, pieces in STORMJOURNEYS, Chapter 1P, and Chapter 13. Of course the TEACHING TOOLS are for everyone and the younger the better!

Back to the Scores. Better than piece descriptions, you can actually see the Score itself. Unfortunately, because of theft, I only post the first few pages now, but you can see the instrumentation and the unedited score notes.

There is MUCH there! 118 of my 965 pieces are "Storm" works... meaning that they are written for band, orchestra and jazz ensemble of the 3rd Millennium. The Music is written to bolster, within the context of dramatic Music-making, the concepts of the Teaching Tools, so everything adds up to a very large, interrelated and connected whole.

The Music & Teaching Tools on the STORMsite are organized by Chapters. Chapters 21 & 34 are in progress.

Beacuse so much of this exceeds even my ability to crystallize into a few paragraps, I am currently working on films that will better explain the whole and its mission. So stay tuned via the STORMSite.

Thank you for your support and for championing this Music.

Godspeed!

Steve

Steve,
Can you please list a few of your compositions that you feel are playable by younger groups? It will assist directors (members) in selecting literature. If you also load up some of the sound files on your page, it will make checking out these pieces a whole lot easier. You might also consider describing each piece and it's cultural significance. Thanks again for allowing the posting of Last World Standing, it is the most viewed video on the site for performances! Keep 'em coming.

Hi,   I have a very large band, 95 students.  I have programmed Holsinger's On A Hymnsong for the spring concert.  As we are rehearsing, it just seems loud.  I don't want the students to play so softly they lose their support.  So many students are…
