Strictly Technic

I was looking at Teresea Elliot's (2010 Jr. All-State clinician) middle school band website and noticed that she has her 8th graders use Swearingen's method book Strictly Technic? Has anyone ever used this and, if so, how is it?

Hi, I don't know this book but I am looking for an advanced book for my 8th gr. band, considering the essential technique book. Does anyone have any recommendations?
