A colleague shared this website with us. We are going to come up with a levelled approach from 6th-12th grade band, allowing students to work ahead or target those that need more support before they get to the next grade. It will also allow quicker assessment at the beginning of 6th grade when students are new to me and give the HS director more  info. when my 8th graders go to him. Sounds like 'genius' PLC work to me. Cheers.

Put method books in wenger slots and dedicate one day of the week for the students to go get them and sightread.  Easiest way to not clutter folders and lessons can be reinforced after you find out what your band's weaknesses are, not before.  Let them play quality literature at and below their level and shore up after they show their hands.
