I am performing Sea Song Trilogy by McGinty and I wanted to know of any tips or suggestions that anyone would have about this piece.  I know that is is a very well known piece of band lit. and I just want to "pick" your brains.

I have noticed a few things in the score that do not match the parts already.

Vito,
Have you had them listen to any recordings of this piece yet or are you going for pure score/parts interpretation from your group?

I'd contact the publisher about those discrepancies that you found. Perhaps they are unaware of them and will reissue some new parts.

I/we have listened to 4 different recordings to get ideas, both good and bad. I am seeing more advice on what judges/ adjudicators look for in this piece. I have played well known pieces in the past and the panel disagreed on my interpretation. So this year I am seeking advice.

I will contact the publisher. Thank you for that advice.
