Hi Everyone,

I am sampling the percussion books for the major beginning band methods as a project for my M.A. in Music Ed. I would love to hear your input about the method book you use relative to percussion. I have been using Essential Elements 2000 for many years and have found areas of what I consider to be significant weakness in the way this book handles percussion.

I know how challenging beginning band percussionists can be and I am hoping this research can provide some ideas to make the experience better for the kids and we directors.

Any input would be appreciated: Praise or vent at will!
