Hey all....I have a soon to be really good little 8th grade band (40 members). BUT my strength is in the brass and Low areas. I was wonderin gif anyone knew of some great Grade 2-lower end 3 pieces that would help grow my ww's. The biggest delima I have is only 3 flute players...2 are standard and one is autistic who may not be able to travel with us to contests and such. And when he is not there, ther other two are not near as confident (Darn pack mentality) Anyway..I do have really good bassoonist. I am also shallowing in percussion numbers.

Take a look at Arabian Dances by Roland Barrett. It is a Grade 3 on the SC list. Pretty managable for brass, but some tricky finger patterns for woodwind's. AND, the kids will LOVE IT!

You might want to take a look at Imagine Music. Their fusion Series pieces are scored so that just about any combination of players can perform their pieces successfully.
