I am looking for a "standardized" interest inventory that I could give to 5th grade music students to help guide them to start the instrument fitting process.  Does anyone have anything they would be willing to share?

If you find one, I would be interested in both having it and putting it on the main page!
The procedure that evolved for me in the process of guiding children in the instrument fitting process is outlined
in the two part reply to Allison S Lunds inquiry about how to get students playing the lower brass instruments.
She showed much courage and effort in her search. What I did in my reply was to put the problem in a larger context and
solve it over time with various methods.

Contained within those two entries is what I did which allowed for kids to choose from the direct contact of being exposed
to the instruments in a class. Generally speaking I did not prevent any student from getting the instrument they thought they would like to play. If there were a serious physical impediment, yes I would talk with the child and the parent about it.

I have never seen a standardized interest inventory to help beginning students in they way you would like. It appears it could be a useful tool to cause some reflection for a child.

Sincerely
Don H
