Seriously!
I have not heard of this book, however it had better come with stem cells milkshakes that make students play in tune automatically for $200. LOL Which Smith is this? Wow, what a price.
Perhaps some of the members use this book, I do not, however I am switching over from SOE to the new FJH method that has it's own blog on MS. Let's hope they come out with a book 2 this year or it's back to SOE for book 2.
Good luck, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Ed Nagel might know, he knows everything. I'll share this with him.
I asked Ed, we'll see what he knows. These are all great authors, but we here in Florida are in a recession. Could never afford something like that and have never needed it to succeed. As it stands now, if that is the price, I will be doing without for a while.
I have used this method book by Robert W. Smith for the past couple of years and am looking to switch to something else. The students really like the book because it has popular tunes that they recognize. If you are a beginning teacher it might be a good resource for you however as a veteran teacher I don't need a reminder to walk around the room to check for comprehension etc. Sometimes I had to flip through four pages of teaching information to get to the next song that the students are playing. The high school teacher that comes over and helps out was not impressed with the teacher addition either. He gave up and used a student book. I would certainly suggest looking at the teacher edition before you decide to use the book.
Thanks for your help. I think I going to try "Measures of Success". I ordered a class set 2 months ago and some of it is still backordered. If it is not in on time I might just stick with Standards.
