Directors,
This forum is linked from the main page and is THE place for you to post your "finds" in the way of free quality concert band literature. There are pieces out there that are great pieces. If you have played them with your band and feel that everyone needs to know about them, please post them here.

Thanks Tom, for creating such an opportunity for the industry and all of the members of MSBandDirector.com.
I downloaded earlier this fall and my students really like it. It's a short piece and works well to get them warmed up and listening to one another. It has many possibilities for expression, as well.

Thank you!
Glad you and your students enjoy "Adrift". I'm going to expand the work to make it appropriate for young band festival use sometime in the next few months.

"Adrift" is a fantastic piece. Thank you for sharing this download. My students love it!

I haven't found any pieces in here that middle school can play, but I have thought about taking these old pieces and arranging them for MS band.

Kelly, Wow!  Great upload here.  Thanks for contributing.  If you highlight the url and click the "link" icon in the upper left corner of the text prompt box, it will create a link to whichever websites you upload.

Very nice resource.  The pdf's i downloaded are really difficult but great for community bands and I keep hoping as I download more of them that some of them will be a bit easier for middle school. Thanks again.

yes, I am the VP of a community band and we are playing Lassus Trombones from this list.  It is a really fun piece!  We have transposed the FH parts, maybe I can see if I can upload those so they can ammend it for the list.

I have gone through this list and picked out some that I thought would be fun for the kids to try...my more advanced students.  And if I ever get the time, I may arrange some for my MS bands. Nothing like OLD SKOOL!

Here is a link to some free Brass Quintet Literature.  Some of it is playable by MS.
